Judith Marie McCaffrey (Gruber), age 87, of Grand Rapids went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents, John and Elizabeth Gruber; brother, Jack and sister-in-law, Carol Gruber. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Terry (Jeff) Zelenak of Littleton, CO, Tim (Barb) McCaffrey of East Lansing, MI, Nancy (Mark) Golaszewski of Boulder, CO, Jim (Susan) McCaffrey of Grand Rapids, MI, Barb (Tom) Brege of Raleigh, NC, Dan (Mindy) McCaffrey of Niles, MI, Judy (John) Farrell of South Bend, IN, Colleen (Jerome) Kunert of Clinton Twp, MI, Ken (Becky) McCaffrey of Gilbert, AZ, Joe (Beth) McCaffrey of Denver, CO, MaryAnne McCaffrey of Byron Center, MI, Kevin (Lisa) McCaffrey of Walker, MI; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, BettyAnne and brother-in-law, Fred Schulte; 5 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.  A private family Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 am Thursday, March 19 at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, with Fr. Godfrey Onyekwere and Fr. Peter Vu celebrants. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. A celebration of  life will be held at a later date.
