Judy was such a sweet lady and will be missed! She came into our Chick-fil-A with her friend Gerry to eat every Thursday for lunch after cleaning the church. After Covid arrived, they continued to come enjoy lunch outside until it go too cold. She always had a smile on her face and was so friendly and warm, and I loved to chat with her a bit every week:) I will miss her and think of her every Thursday and whenever I pass by "their booth". Hugs and love to her family from her Chick-fil-A Grand Rapids South "family"! Rena Spurlin❤️

Dear Aunt Judy- We have so many fond memories. We loved riding our bikes to see you when we were little, riding in your red volkswagen bug, and coming over to swim in your pool. You were such an important part of our lives and such a wonderful Aunt. I will always remember your quick laugh and smile. You will be missed but so happy you are in heaven now! Much love- Sherry, Tim, Spencer & Cole

At this time, I wish I were eloquent so that I could write down what Judy meant to me and what she deserves to have said. Judy and I both grew up in Grand Rapids. We were about a year apart. Her dad and my mother were brother and sister. Judy had a gift of being where she was needed and never hesitated to help whenever she could. When my mom at the end of her life and I was far away from her in New York, Judy often did what I couldn't, which was to visit with her and bring her some treats. Later on, she visited the graves of my parents at Woodlawn and took care of them. I will be forever grateful. On my last visit to Grand Rapids in the fall of 2019, I saw her often as went to lunch and dinner, to visit another cousin in a nursing home and see the sights of my hometown. She was always ready to be there, to be available and to listen--intently and acceptingly. She spoke of her loving relationships with her brothers, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. It was clear how much she cared about all of them and had helped them in times of need. She spoke of her involvement in her new church home and how much it meant to her. Judy was a good, good person, kind, sympathetic and generous. We made some plans for her visit to New York City, which I so much regret will not happen now. I will miss you, Judy. Rest in peace.
