Joyce Wenzel

Joyce Arlene Wenzel (Main), age 79 passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 peacefully with her family by her side. She was born July 23rd, 1940 in Blanchard, MI. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Harold Wenzel, daughter Suzanne Wenzel, mother Doris Nostrant, father Irving (Pete) Main, and nephew Scott Ostrander. Joyce is survived by her 3 sons, Lee (Susie) Wenzel, Russ Wenzel, Jay Wenzel, daughter, Tammy (Marlen) Hollenbeck, grandchildren, Austin Wenzel, Nichole Gradel, William Argue and Spencer Hollenbeck, great grandchildren, Mason, Owen and Jett Gradel, Lane and Adrianna Argue. She is also survived by her sisters JoAn (Main) Marks and Dena (Main) Albrechtsen, brother Ken (Mary) Main and many nieces and nephews. Joyce grew up in Lakeview and Greenville Michigan, graduating from Greenville High School in 1958. She married Harold Wenzel on October 2, 1964 in Greenville. They enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends. Joyce was a loving mother with a generous caring heart. She enjoyed walking and socializing with neighbors and friends. She especially loved the gift of giving. She gave away many handmade Afghans, doylies, coasters, hot pads, baby sweaters and booties to name a few. Joyce also loved music, doing crossword puzzles and reading books. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE Belmont, MI from from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Private burial will take place at a later date.
