Joyce Elaine Ballast, age 83, of Jenison went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Ballast, grandson Benjamin Ballast, daughters-in-law Karen Ballast and Annette Ballast, in-laws Harvard and Beverly Meyers, Kathy Ballast. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 66 years Rod Ballast, children Douglas Ballast, Pamela (Robert) Machiele, Julia (Allan) Rietberg, Marvin (Holly) Ballast, Curtis Ballast, Cynthia (Mark) Miller, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, brothers Gordon (Barbara) Longstreet, James (Yolanda) Longstreet, brothers-in-law Dan (Linda) Ballast, Leon (Paula) Ballast, Michael (Carolyn) Ballast, Clifton Ballast, Bruce (Pat) Ballast, Jeff (Susan) Ballast and many extended family members. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, 11 a.m., at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, March 11, 2022, from 6-8 p.m., at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Waterford Place Memory Care.
