Joyce Doornbos, age 72, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 14, 2025. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. In spite of limited mobility, she was vivacious, caring, and devoted to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Anzelmo. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, James; stepchildren, Joshua Doornbos, Tena Doornbos, Elsa Doornbos; step grandchild, Isabel Doornbos; parents-in-law, Rev. Milton and Jeanne Doornbos, brother, Ralph Anzelmo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Keith and Brenda Doornbos, Larry and Linda Doornbos, Mark and Tami Doornbos, Elizabeth and Herb Garman; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Ada Bible Church, 8899 Cascade Rd. SE, Ada, 49301 with Pastor Kyle Pierpont officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 1-2 pm at the church prior to the service.
