Joyce Akkerman, age 86, of Grandville, went to be with her loving Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Akkerman; son, David Akkerman; mother and father, Henry and Florence DeVries. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ronda and Doug Bolle, Kelly Akkerman; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred DeVries, Larry and Lois DeVries, Jack and Pat DeVries, and Betty Hildebrand; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dan Spaulding officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Open Bible Church.
