Jouzopas Statkeviciute

Juozopas “Joe” Statkeviciute was called home to the Lord on 11/20/2019. Joe was born in Germany. He came to America with his mother and sister when he was just 3 years old. Joe grew up on the Westside of Grand Rapids. His favorite place to be was the “Our Tavern” where he was affectionately known as “Miller Joe”. He loved gangster movies and following the headlines. He was always up for discussing the latest controversial subject and would often ask others their opinions on the latest news. He disliked squirrels and “hoodlums”. He enjoyed his work at Nicholas Plastics in Allendale until it’s closure. He gained many lifelong friends over the years and is preceded in death by his friend and fishing buddy, Rose. Joe is also preceded in death by his father Joseph Sedekerskis, his mother Brone Sedekerskis and his sister Stephonia Statkeviciute. He leaves behind his sister Arlene Staeven (Laima Sedekerskis), his brother Ronald Sedekerskis, his niece Vicki (Noel), his niece Michell, his niece Ericka, and his nephew Christopher.
