Josephine “Joyce” Stoffers

Josephine “Joyce” (Kosten) Stoffers, age 87, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always protected and dearly loved her family. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. Over the years, she enjoyed traveling with her family across the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stoffers; parents, Onley and Florence Kosten; siblings, Jean Kosten, Betty Kosten, Shirley Kosten, Ruth Kosten, and Ronald Kosten. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy Ladewig, Roger (Lisa) Ladewig; grandchildren, Josef Ladewig, Joshua (Joanna) Ladewig, Jacob Ladewig; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Marianna; several nieces, nephews. The burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her daughter Cindy’s residence.
