Joseph Zalewski

Joseph Patrick Zalewski, age 39, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Joey was generous to a fault, giving, tenderhearted, and a person who would do anything for anybody. Some of his hobbies were smoking meats, LEGO building, amateur meteorology, and watching the Lions, Red Wings, and NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his baby sister, Sarah Rose; grandparents, Bob and Donna Eastman, Chuck Zalewski; uncle, Steve Zalewski; and aunt, Jeri Knight. He will be lovingly remembered by his father, Pat Zalewski; mother, Patty and Bryan Duemler; brothers, Kevin Zalewski, David Zalewski; two nieces that he adored, Ragen and Kylie; grandmother, Mary Zalewski; stepbrothers, Nate and Courtney Duemler (Brooklyn, Ava), Kevin and Brittany Duemler; many uncles, aunts, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison with Fr. Stephen Durkee presiding. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to God’s Kitchen in honor of Joey’s benevolent nature.
