Jose Rocha was called home to our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at the age of 86.

Jose was born on July 6th, 1935 to Guadalupe Rocha and Concepcion Trevino in El Ranchito, Texas. He was joined together in marriage with Tiburcia “Lucy” Riojas on December 31st, 1956 in Crosbyton, Texas. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Jose was a hardworking man. He was full of wit and could illuminate rooms with his joyous laughter. He shared many life stories filled of wisdom. He was a protector of many.

Jose was preceded in death by his wife, Tiburcia “Lucy” Riojas Rocha; his son, Daniel Rocha; his parents, Guadalupe Rocha and Concepcion Trevino; his brothers, Pedro Rocha, Jesse Rocha, Rito Rocha, Juan Rocha, Ventura Rocha, Tereso Rocha; his sister, Victoria Zamora; his grandchild, Hannah Michelle Sauceda. Jose is survived by daughters, Delores (Pedro) Rubio of Waco, TX and Mary Helen Rocha of Grandville, MI; sons, Rudy Rocha of Harlingen, TX and Robert Rocha of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Paula Rocha Jimenez of Olton, TX; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, January 18th, 2022, with the Rosary at 6 pm. All services will be held at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with burial ceremony at Georgetown Memorial Cemetery.
