Jorge Luis Torres

Jorge L. Torres, age 83, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Born in Puerto Rico, Jorge moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and began his ministry in 1986. He served as a minister at Templo La Hermosa. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn; children and stepchildren, daughter-in-law and granddaughter-in-law; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to travel and now traveled to his final destination to be with the Lord and Savior. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to gathering restrictions, please wear a mask and there will be a limit on the number of people who may enter the building at a time.
