John Waringa

John Waringa, age 93, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on Monday, December 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; son-in-law, Harry Senkow; brother, Bernard Waring; sister, Ethel Bush.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sharon Senkow, John R. Waringa; grandchildren, Kelly Senkow, Rachel Waringa, Jonathan Waringa; great-grandchildren, Avery Waringa, and Ryker Waringa; and several nieces and nephews.  John proudly served our country during WWII as a member of the United States Navy on the USS 915 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in 1945 as part of the LST Flotilla 37.  A  graveside service will be held in the spring of 2019.
