John Racine

John Earl Racine, age 72, of Hudsonville, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. John was a devoted husband, dad, and PopPop. His family was his number one priority, and he found immense joy in his grandchildren. John was also a very successful partner  and operator of Woltco Inc., working alongside his son, Jeff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Joseph Racine; two sisters, Gloria Mixter, Karen Jacobson; and parents-in-law, Ronnie and Roy Culp. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Racine; his children, Jennifer and Kevin Koster, Jeff and Danielle Racine; grandchildren, Keaton Koster, Kellen Koster, Johnny Racine, Allie Racine; brother, Mike and Jill Racine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Michelle and Will Troxell, Sue and Bruce Mannes; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 30, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Kids’ Food Basket of Ottawa County.
