John Michael Hall

John Michael Hall, age 44, of Jenison, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 5, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jean and Gloria Hall; his aunts and uncles, Olivia (John) Halvorsen, Rebecca (Donny) Ketty, Carmen (Steve) Mora and Conrado Renteria; many cousins and dear friends. John was a warm, kind, loving, caring son, nephew and friend. He graduated from Byron Center High School and was a triple threat athlete. He went on to Ferris State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He worked as an Ottawa County Deputy Sheriff. John loved the water and spent much of his time canoeing, riding the jet ski, and camping with his friends. He also enjoyed indoor and outdoor shooting at the practice range. He was always available to help his friends and family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Friday, August 13, 2021 at St. Joseph the Worker, 3138 Birchwood SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Quintana presiding. Burial at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, August 12 from 3-9 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood and on Friday from 10-11 at the church prior to the service. A Rosary will be held on Thursday at 7:30 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
