MATTSON - John Ralph Mattson, age 91, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mattson; parents, Joseph and Emma Mattson; brothers, Robert Mattson and Walter Mattson; sister, Betty Roman. John is survived by his children, Pat (Steve) Martin, Joyce Julien, John "Bob" (Joann) Mattson, Charles (Joan) Mattson, Lori Jo (Kerry) Glidden, Traci (John) Abma; grandchildren, Melissa (Greg) Bellefeuille, Steve (Ginger) Martin Jr., Clayton Martin, Jaci Martin, Charles (Vanessa) Julien, Melinda "Mindy" Julien, Jessica (Chay) Yankee, Janna (Sean) Silva, Ryan (Brenda) Mattson, Jonathan (Sarah) Mattson, Samantha (Brad) Ringelberg, Robert Glidden, Cassandra Abma, Sarah Abma, Emily Abma; 25 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Richard) Haner, Mary (Bill) Frizzell, Charles (Laura) Colegrove, Ruth Edwards, Esther Anderson, Herm Colegrove, Harold (Mary) Colegrove, Ed (Sheila) Colegrove, Eugene (Leah) Colegrove. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12 at Living Hope Community Church, 2391 Hillside Drive NW, Grand Rapids with Pastor Jim Hogg and Pastor Raymond Haner officiating. John's family will greet relatives and friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
