John (Jack) Meyer

John (Jack) Meyer, age 88, was called to his heavenly home on  Saturday, December 2, 2017, after several years battling Alzheimer’s. John was a devoted husband who worked hard and treasured his family above all. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maxine; his son, John and Pat Meyer; daughter, Lori and Gary Olcheske; grandchildren, Beth (Dave) Kraff, Russ Olcheske, Sara (Christopher) Buist, Megan Meyer; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Arianna, and Marcus; sisters, Alice (Gabriel) Fodor, Catherine Fodor; brother-in-law, Ronald Woodburn; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Louis) Freybler, Donna (Robert) Kurti, Linda Sredersas; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marion Meyer; parents-in-law, Eugene and Minnietta Wurm; brother, Richard (Jan) Meyer; sisters, Margaret Woodburn, Mary Lou Pett; brothers-in-law, William Fodor, Don Pett, Thomas Wurm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 50 Bellevue SW, Wyoming with Fr. Jose Luis Quintana Celebrant.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet his family Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming) 4031 Clyde Park SW with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Emmanuel Hospice.
