HUTTENGA - Mr. John "Jack" Huttenga aged 68 passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Mabel; granddaughter, Isabella Grace Huttenga; brother-in-law, Peter Jensen. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Robin; son, Alex (Kimberly) Huttenga; grandchildren, Taylor and Aiden; sister, Jane Jensen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Gayle James; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rodger James, Roxanne Liegler, Ronda (Shawn) Tague; several nieces and nephews. Jack proudly served in the Navy and the Army National Guard where he retired as Master Sergeant. He also retired from his civilian position at Steelcase. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Monday, November 13th at Assumption BVM, 6369 Belmont Ave. NE. His family will greet relatives and friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM with prayers of the rosary recited at 7:30PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE.
