John F. Conway

John F. Conway, age 86, of Caledonia, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 49 years, Loretta; children: Steve (Red) Conway, Margie Conway; granddaughter, Simona; Simona’s mother, Sigile Conway; twin sister, Joan Lee; and many beloved nieces and nephews. John proudly served his country in the US Army and enjoyed attending air shows.  He was a faithful Catholic, long-suffering Detroit Lions fan, and dad joke devotee. His family would like to thank the Knights of Columbus Council #7341, Kindred Hospice, and the caring staff at Byron Center Manor for their help and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am on Tuesday, January 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE, Caledonia, with Fr. Chuck Fischer presiding.  Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland, MI. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home 616 E. Main St., Caledonia, and from 10-11 am on Tuesday at the church prior to the service. A Rosary service will be held 7:30 pm on Monday at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to God's Kitchen in lieu of flowers.
