John Donald “Don” Mollema passed peacefully into eternity on July 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Jennie (Prince) Mollema and his brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Marjorie (Tazelaar) Mollema. He is survived by two nieces: Judy (Peter) VanderArk and Mary (John) Heemstra and their families.Don was born in Grand Rapids on October 20, 1920. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed by friends and family. A memorial service, including military honors, will take place on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 AM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home at 4145 Chicago Drive in Grandville. Family and friends can meet, beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service, to pay their respects. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook Ave SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
