John Burmania

BURMANIA - John Nevin Burmania aged 84 went to be with his Lord December 8, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Jennie Burmania; brothers, Gordon and Nelson Burmania. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Burmania; children, Kimberly (Donald) Eves, Tamela (Wade) Kohn, Kevin (Donna) Curtiss, Brian (Wendy) Burmania; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Donna) Burmania, David (Annie) Burmania, Neil (Sheri) Burmania; sisters, Alyce (Jerry) Koetje, Janice Salisbury, Marie Strong; sister-in-law, Julia Burmania; brother-in-law, Donald (Kathleen) Maine; several nieces and nephews; additional relatives and friends. John was proud to have served his country during the Korean Conflict, in the US Army. After the war, he began his career as a City Bus driver, later as a Truck Driver, retiring in the early 1990's. In retirement, he could be often found at Mr. Burger and those friends became like extended family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at North Park Presbyterian Church, 500 North Park St. NE, Grand Rapids. His family will greet relatives and friends from 4 to 7 PM, Tuesday at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Belmont, 1601 Post Dr. NE. and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
