John Begerow

John Begerow, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents, Forest and Florence Begerow; and sister, Vivian Steel. He will be dearly missed by his children, Tom (Tammy) Begerow, and Sue (Gordy) Jenkins; grandchildren: Stephanie (Rick) Rose, Brittany (Shawn) Weeks, David Jenkins, and Alyssa (Brandon) McKenzie; great-grandchildren: Lily Rose, Nikki Rose, Alexis Weeks, Weston Weeks, Lincoln McKenzie, Lucy McKenzie, and Lionel McKenzie; sister, Joan Hoffman; brother, Bob Begerow; and several nieces and nephews. He was born on October 23, 1936, in Woodland, Michigan, and graduated from Manchester College. John went on to marry his one and only, Carol, on March 28, 1959. He worked in sales most of his life and ended his career at Continental Identification. John loved gardening, playing cards and games, and spending time at the cottage with his family. Family was the most important part of his life. He was a kind, thoughtful, and gentle man and he made his mark on many. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 16, from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at MKD Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville, with Pastor Todd Kinde officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
