Joanne Postema

Joanne Marie (Boss) Postema, age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25, 2026. Jo brought much laughter and joy into her nearly 87 years. As a helper and encourager, she volunteered in various ways in her community and at Fellowship CRC. She was a kid at heart; children were always drawn to her. Family gatherings, friends, food, and animals filled her life. 

Jo will be lovingly remembered by her son, Raymond Scott Postema, and daughter, Lisa Postema; sisters, Marian Van Enk, and Shirley Darling; sister-in-law, Nellie Postema; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1994; her parents, Fred and Evelyn Boss; and sister, Barbara Vander Mey. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:45 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Dean Vander Mey officiating. Burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday from 1-1:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Fellowship CRC, Set Free Ministries, or Best Friends Animal Society.
