Joanne A. Kooistra

​Joanne A. Kooistra (Poll), age 89, of Jenison, passed away peacefully and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 18, 2021, where she is now reunited with her husband of 68 years, Sidney Kooistra. Joanne was a charter member at Cottonwood Church where she used her time and talents. Over the years, countless memories were made wintering in Florida where she established many wonderful friendships. Most of all, she took pleasure in the relationships she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was proud of all their accomplishments. She is lovingly remembered by children, Larry and Amy Kooistra, Linda and Keith Brew, Lee and Dawn Kooistra, Ken and Bev Kooistra; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Kraker, brother-in-law, Jim Kooistra of California; several nieces and nephews. Private family graveside services will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Because of the love and compassionate care given to Joanne, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Faith Hospice.
