Joan Sweeris

Joan Ruth Sweeris, age 89, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, this past May. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lynn and Gary Kretz, Lori and Rick Folkertsma, Leanne Sweeris, Amy and Brad Sytsma; grandchildren, Adam and Megan Kretz, Sarah Kretz, Chad Folkertsma, Amanda and Tevontae Abraham, Abby, Ben, and Noah Sytsma; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carol Hemmes, Carol Vander Ark, Joy Knurr; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lee St. Christian Reformed Church, 1261 Lee St., Wyoming with Pastor Steve DeVries officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
