Joan Marie Redner

Joan Marie Redner, age 78, of Jenison, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mabel Graves; brother, Jerry Graves; sister, Sharon Baragar. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Shelley (Michael) Little, Darcey (Ron) Christians, Tracey (Tyler) Dykstra, Holley (Joseph) Helton, Jodey (Douglas) Hula, Chadd (Kelly) Redner, Brandey (Sonny) Redner; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; loving dog, Sassey; and dear friend, Randy Griffiths. Family was most important to Joan. A mother of seven children, she spent a lot of her time raising her family, caring for them and protecting them. She will be remembered for her stubborn, yet loving heart. Some of her favorite pastimes included long conversations on the phone, watching the birds, being a collector of all things, and spoiling her dog. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family prior to the service from 12-1:00 pm at the funeral home.
