Joan Mae Eastman

​Joan Mae Eastman, age 79, of Cedar Springs went to be her Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman and Mae Austin; husband, Lyle; sisters, Arlene Sleziak, and Mary Bassett. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jodie and Tim Wert, Lyle Jr. and Michelle Eastman; grandchildren, Justin and Caroline Eastman, Trevor Eastman; sister, Irene Czerwinski; her dog, Fred; and other extended family and friends. Joan loved to bake and cook, and she was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Roger B. Chaffee American Legion Post 154. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, 12 noon at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, with Rev. J.B. Stutts officiating. Burial will be held at Helena Twp. Cemetery, Alden, MI at a later date. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, July 17 for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
