Joan L. Morris

Joan L. Morris, age 68 of Wyoming, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.  Preceding her in death were her parents, her infant brother and her brother-in-law, Roman L. Stoj. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Larry Carroll; her sisters, Mary (Robert) Wachtel and Margaret Stoj; her brother, Walt (Leslie) Freund and many extended family members. She was born on December 12, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Robert and Elsie (Blum) Freund. Joan was a long time member of West Michigan Quilting Association and made as many as 20 baby quilts per month. She was a farm girl at heart and loved gardening around her home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11am Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101Clyde Park SW, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Kentwood. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Church in memory of Joan.
