Joan Kay DuBuis, age 77, of Allendale, formerly of Byron Center, went to her Heavenly Home on Friday, March 29, 2019.  She was an employee of Michigan Bulb Company for many years. Her husband of 38 years, John, preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Amy and Paul Erickson, Dori DuBuis, Eric DuBuis; grandchildren, Joe DuBuis, Andrew Erickson, Kayleigh and James Kuklewski, Jordan DuBuis, Kendall DuBuis, Camden DuBuis; great-grandchildren, Thatcher DuBuis, and Parker Kuklewski; brothers, Earl and Jerri Parker, Gary and Judi Parker; and many nieces and nephews.  

Joan was well liked by everyone that knew her. Her tender spirit and servant's heart reflected the love of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She always had His praise on her lips and never missed the opportunity to share that love with those around her, especially the little ones. Joan will be missed, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she is reaping her heavenly reward.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at Remembrance Church, 4575 Remembrance Rd. NW, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Todd Schmidt officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, May 1, from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
