DeWeerd, Joan "Jo" L. Joan “Jo” L. DeWeerd, age 81, of Hudsonville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold “Bud” DeWeerd.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children:  Randy (Deb) DeWeerd, Debora (Scott) Hoeve, Diane Lass; grandchildren:  Anthony (Danielle) DeWeerd, Rachelle DeWeerd, Dr. Nicholas (Jacquelyn) Hoeve, Casey Hoeve; great grandchildren:  Mason and Lucas; sisters:  Margaret (Robert) Elzinga, Nancy Anderson; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Monday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Spectrum Health Hospice.  The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Cambridge and Georgetown Manor and Spectrum Health Hospice for their loving care.
