Joan Harmsen

Mrs. Joan W. Harmsen, aged 83, a resident of Hopkins, passed away on into the next world on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gareth; her parents, Norm and Grace Kelly; three brothers, Jim, John and Richard Kelly; grandson, Mikey Dever. She is survived by her children, Rick and Linda Harmsen, Herman and Rose Harmsen, Isabell “Chris” Harmsen, Terri and Denny Noel; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her best friend, Gloria Brandstat; and her faithful dog, Banjo. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
