Joan “Annie” Kegerreis

Joan “Annie” Kegerreis, age 90, of Caledonia passed into the arms of her Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Annie was born in Caledonia to P. Leo and Mildred Snyder. She worked as a bookkeeper for nearly 50 years, first at Caledonia Schools and then at Caledonia State Bank. She also served as Village Treasurer. She was a member of Caledonia United Methodist Church since 1945. Annie married Hugh Kegerreis in 1951; they loved traveling and gardening together in their 53 years of marriage. Annie also enjoyed reading, word search puzzles and handiwork. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh; sister, Joyce Ranes. She is survived by her sisters, Janet Proos and Jean E. Soest; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Caledonia United Methodist Church, 250 Vine Street SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Elizabeth Hurd officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main Street SE, Caledonia, as well as an hour prior to the service at church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Caledonia United Methodist Church or charity of one’s choice.
