Remembering Jo Anne “Joie” Henry

Jo Anne “Joie” Henry, aged 69 of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids to Herbert and Loraine Ayers and had 3 brothers: Pat, John, and Mike Ayers and one sister, Jane. She will be greatly missed by her daughters: Jennifer and Curt Cumberworth, Lori and Joseph Stone and their father, William Henry; granddaughter, Brianna Stone. She loved crossword puzzles, casino trips, and working in her yard. Most of all, she loved to spend time with Lori and Brianna. She worked for many years at SUSPA. There will be no services and a private burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Joie was Mother to our two girls and my wife for about 16 years. We would see each other at Granddaughter events and at casino. Going to miss her.

I'm so sad about Joie's passing. She was so full of life and humor and always made everyone laugh in her company. I have many fond memories of joie.. Every time I hear the song Stand by Me I think of her it was her fav. All she talked about was "her girls". I pray they always know how much she loved them all. Joie I thank you for the laughs the tears and for your friendship at work. You will always be remembered with nothing but a smile. May you rest in peace now and no longer in the pain you were in. I am so very sorry to hear of Joie's passing. I have so many years of fun memories, it would take a week to go over them. My granddaughter Tori and I had lots of fun times when they were little kids at the museum, zoo, copper top restaurant and swimming in joie's pool. my greatest memory was when Joie would say, "well where will we take them next time?" she loved her granddaughter Bri more than life, always wanting the very best for her. A grandmothers love is more than anything one can ask for. Rest In Peace Joie

I am so so sorry 4 your loss Lori and Jennifer your mom was the greatest woman I had as a friend at Suspa and outside of work. She was an amazing friend who I loved very much. So many good times that we had together I'm going to miss her very deeply
