We have been inspired and amazed by Mom, to see how far she came in life with a 3rd grade education and could barely read or write. Years later she graduated GED. During the years that she worked at Stow Davis; she became the 1st woman upholsterer. They had to build her very own bathroom. Mom also was part of the team that built several chairs for the Gerald R Ford Museum dedication ceremony.
Special message to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren etc.: God Bless you all! I have a special love for all my children and grandchildren I have not met, in my heart. I want you to know that I pray for you. I want to encourage all of you to stay in school and go to college if you can. Make no mistake it's hard to live in comfort without a good job and it starts with a good education, please don't learn the hard way!
