Jessie Zemaitis

Jessie (Schilthuis) Zemaitis, age 98, of Tallmadge Township, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Sr.; daughter, Barbara “Barbie” Childs; daughter-in-law, Kathy “Toppy” Zemaitis; parents, Jacob and Tena Schilthuis; brother, Paul “Bud” Schilthuis; sister, Aileen Roelofs. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Stanley Jr. and Judy Zemaitis, Mary and Keith Bergakker, Carol Vriesema, Mike and Barb Zemaitis, Larry Zemaitis, Tom Zemaitis, Bill Zemaitis, and Beverly Zemaitis; son-in-law, Mike Childs; 35 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Huizenga; several nieces, nephews, cousins and all the great nieces, nephews and cousins, and all her special friends that called her Grandma, Grams, Ma Z., or Grandma Z…old or young, she loved them all; and many other dear friends and neighbors. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf, 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Rev. Raymond B. Lanning officiating. The burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, January 9, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service.
