Jessie Lee “Bim” Vaughn

On 4 February 2019 Jessie Lee Vaughn made his transition to be with the Lord at the St Mary’s hospital in Grand Rapids, MI surrounded by family and close friends. Jessie Lee Vaughn age 65, was born in Tunica, Mississippi. Jessie was raised in the city of Benton Harbor, Michigan and graduated from Benton Harbor High school in 1971. He attended Pilgrim Rest Church in Benton Harbor, MI. Joined the United States Navy and worked as an Electrician. Once honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned home and worked various jobs. Jessie later relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he resided until he passed away. He was a very smart and funny man. Jessie enjoyed baseball and leading the church hymns at the Metron of Belding Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie Lee Vaughn, and Mary Ella Vaughn; grandparents; Bernard and Elvira Williams, sister Mary Lee “Rudy” Blanks, brother; Charlie Lee Vaughn Jr., uncles; Jonnie, Nathaniel and Herman. He will be missed by his daughter, Charmaine (Johnnie) Jones, and two grandsons Travae and Johnnie Jr. Jones, brothers; Jeffery Allen “Ricky”, Daniel “Darnell” (Mae), Tony Dwayne (Lisa), sisters; Annette Marie Vaughn-Johnson, sister-in-law: Catherine “Tat”, God sister Stacy (George) Jett, aunts; Vera, Alberta, Hiwatha and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
