Jerry Ronk

Jerry Ronk, age 83, of Allendale, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Carol; daughter, Lori; and brother, Monty.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Debra and Douglas Flagg, Brenda and Clint Edges; grandchildren, Eric and Becky Flagg, Nathan and Melissa Flagg, Shelby Westlake, Sydney Westlake; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Desmond, and Elaina Flagg; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry faithfully served his country in the US Army Reserves.  He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family at the cottage and cross country skiing and water skiing.  Jerry was a pharmacist for over 40 years, having graduated from Ferris State University.  He was very hard working and became interested in maintaining and driving hot rods and motorcycles.  Jerry was fun loving and a practical joker and lived life to the fullest until the Alzheimer’s took control.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott Street, with Fr. Ayub Nasar officiating.  Interment will be held at Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Faith Hospice.
