Jerry Robert Welton

Jerry Robert Welton, age 62, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Monday, December 6, 2021. Jerry retired after 36 years of working for Steelcase. He loved music and was an avid album collector. He loved to spend time outdoors, visit the cottage in Bellaire, or go on road trips up north or to Lake Michigan. He loved his family and was especially proud of his boys. Jerry will be remembered for his great sense of humor, enjoyment for cooking, and his friendly personality. At a young age, Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce (Bowerman) Welton and later, his father, Robert Welton, step-mother, Donna Welton, and brother, Tim Welton. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Welton; sons, Kenneth Drouillard, Jacob Welton and Mitchell Welton; grandson, Blaise Drouillard; siblings: Ron and Marcia Welton, Tom and Betty Welton, and Phil Welton; sister-in-law, Vicki Welton, as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may meet the family for a memorial gathering on Saturday, December 18th from 11-1 pm at MKD Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave, Kentwood MI 49508. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Grand Rapids WYCE Radio Station.
