Jerry Moyer, age 70, of Fruitport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Jerry retired from CSX Railroad, as did his dad and his grandpa. He loved to use his sawmill and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Moyer, Sr. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Bettye; stepdaughter, Nicole Figiel; siblings, Janet and Michael Hofman, Brenda and Bruce Taylor, Don Jr. and Deb Moyer, Loran and Laura Moyer, Stephanie Stevens, Mary and Louis Wierenga, Ed Moyer, Tom and Julie Moyer, Jim Moyer, Barb Moyer; many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville with Fr. Stephen Durkee officiating. Private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday, February 26 from 5-8 pm, with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
