It was great to have known Jerry and his family. I knew of him through my uncle and aunt (Jerry and Sue Vander Wal). I enjoyed him telling me "yes, I knew that teacher of yours or coach." Great service today. My continued sympathy and prayers to his wife Karen and their family and friends. I the story I like the most is that when Bo Schembeckler slammed his cap right at Jerry's feet for a call . . . Jerry just walked right over the cap.

My sympathy goes out to all of the Hendrickson crew. Over the last few years Especially Jerry and all of you boys have been there for myself. He always looked for me at the games to say a kind word. Now it’s my turn to say “May Gods grace be with you all”.

So sorry to hear of Jerry's recent health challenge and of his passing. He was an outstanding family man and a great mentor to many through his involvement in education and officiating. Always remember his calm demeanor and "even keel" way of approaching things. He was a good neighbor to my folks on Locksley Drive in Wyoming. Condolences to the family. He will be missed by many.
