Jerry Harold Harper

Jerry Harold Harper, age 52, of Morley, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ  on Friday, February 3, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his mother; Martha Oletha Harper.  He will be lovingly remembered by his  daughters, Brooklin Harper, Avoryonna Harper, Tiffany Harper; sons, Jerry and Eli; grandchildren, Geeoni Harper, Anastaci Harper, Odin Labs, Hazel Harper, Jaydin Thomas, Abigail Thomas, Auriya Davis and one on the way; siblings, Joe (Beth) Sikes, Tamara Bennett; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Jerry owned his own cab company and thoroughly enjoyed driving people to their destinations.  He enjoyed listening to Rap and Hip Hop music.  Most of all he loved spending time with his children.  He was a hard worker and would help neighbors, friends and family any way he could and enjoyed making them laugh.  Jerry’s favorite saying was, “Groovy Baby.” Rather than saying goodbye he would say, “Ta Ta for now.”   Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February  8, 2023 at Brookside Christian Reformed Church, 3600 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Paul DeVries officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, and also on Wednesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.
