Remembering Jeremy Stratton

Jeremy Stevan Stratton, age 50, of Jenison, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 31, 1975, to Stevan and Linda Stratton. Jeremy faced his illness with strength and determination, always trying to stay strong for the family he loved so deeply, even while carrying his own pain. He truly lived life on his own terms; he loved riding his Harley - loud and fast - and spending time with his friends. One of his favorite sayings was “Drive fast, take chances,” which perfectly captured his adventurous spirit and love for life. Jeremy was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent the last 17 years with Magic Transportation, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those he worked alongside. He had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. Jeremy loved fiercely and would do anything for the people he cared about. Bold when needed, yet soft-hearted at the core, Jeremy was a loyal friend, an amazing husband, and someone whose presence made life brighter for everyone around him. He will be greatly missed for his love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit and will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Stratton, the love of his life; stepson, Zander DiMaggio; his furbabies who were his kids, Jagerbomb, Sambuca (Buki, aka Baby Buki) and Mr. Beavs - all spoiled rotten and deeply loved. He is also survived by his parents, Stevan and Linda Stratton; sister, Jessica (Jason) Lavengood and their sons, Jordan, Jacob and Jackson; brother, Jason Stratton and his children, Connor and Violet; sisters-in-law, Theresa (Joe) Mazzola and their children, and Mary Mitchell and her daughter; stepfather-in-law, Daniel Van’t Hof (Elaine); aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family members.

A visitation to celebrate Jeremy’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.

So sorry for your loss. Fond memories of Jeremy and our time at Magic. He is with the Angels now.

— Virginia R. Grenz

I used to work with Jeremy at Magic, he was this harda**, rough around the edges kind of guy but he'd always offer help, suggestions or a smart comment when needed, had a jokes to tell or what he made in the Insta-Pot the other night. Jeremy talked about his "kids"...... I found out later he was referring to his Germam Shepherds. :D I'd send him funny jokes or ask for advice. One day he mentioned the Oscar Mayer "Wienermobile" as he seen a post about the job opening, told me college kids usually signed up for a job like that; Jeremy always knew the "Tea" about everything. Later on that day while I was leaving to head out of state I actually got to see the wienermobile, like Jeremy spoke it into existence. Jeremy told me around my 3 year mark with Magic that he was actually surprised and proud I made it that long, a lot of people won't do what we did. Our last conversation he broke the news, had a couple jokes and left me speechless. You will truly be missed Driver. Rest In Peace Jeremy! ~ Tabitha C ~

Jeremy, what a true gift it was to call you my friend. The fun times at the Win and dinners with you and Michelle will always be remembered. Running the Big Trucks down 96 while we talked via our headsets, meeting at the same stops and dinners at your house Even in the end, my wife and I visiting with you, the deep conversations and the last handshake and hug goodbye will forever stay in my mind. You were kind, intelligent and a real friend. I'm going to miss you so much. The strength and courage you displayed during this brief battle was indicative of the strong man you were. I'm so glad I was able to listen and talk with you on the phone and in person right up until the end. I'll always remember you buddy. Rest in heaven my friend. Love ya brother
