Jeremy Ray Anderson

It is with a broken heart we announce the tragic and unexpected passing of Jeremy Ray Anderson, age 44, on March 30, 2021. Although we know he is in heaven, the pain of his loss is searing. Jeremy, affectionately known as Jerry, was loved by his family, friends, and coworkers. He had a good heart & soul and loved the music of the classics. He made lasting connections with people and cherished his friends and family.  He attended Andrew's Academy high school and spent several years at Andrew's University. Jeremy had a strong work ethic and received his initial welding certificate in Harrisonburg, VA.  He achieved additional advanced welding certifications that allowed him to advance in his trade.  He was known for making many fun side projects using his creativity and ingenuity. Jeremy worked at Industrial Resources in Walker, MI. He was a phenomenal welder and fabricator.  Overall, his workmates loved him dearly.  His friend and manager, Todd Macqueen, was a great friend and support for Jeremy,  Jeremy always spoke fondly of the support and love Todd, and his wife Kelly, showed. Jeremy's workboots will be shown on the wall inside Industrial Resources. Jeremy suffered from the constant battle of addiction.  He always had an optimistic attitude that someday he would overcome and he never quit trying. Guiding Light Ministries was a vital part of Jeremy's battle and his brotherhood supported him through his journey. Above all, Jeremy had a loving relationship and trust in God.  He loved his son River, unconditionally, and was always proud and supportive of River's achievements in life. He was very excited to be attending River's upcoming college graduation in May. Jeremy is survived by his son, River Thomas Britton Anderson of Winter Garden, FL.  Father, Bertel W. Anderson (Patty) of Sturgis MI, and Mother Charlotte N. Anderson of Midland, MI.  His three sisters, Michelle J. Young (Forrest) of Grand Rapids MI, Jennifer M. Brandys of Sturgis MI, and Amy L. Wadsworth of Niles MI. His extended family, Nancy Melashenko Reynolds of Sabattus, ME. His friend and companion, Tammy MacDonald. Jeremy also had many cousins, nieces, and nephews that loved him dearly. Any donations can be sent to Guiding Light Ministries.
