Jennie M. Attala, aged 84 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Attala and sister, Joann Haner. Jennie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Donald; children, Thomas (Chris) Attala, Dan Attala and friend Marvin, Kathy (Roger) Nation, Mary (Craig) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Jan Attala; grandchildren, Tommy, Shandra, Tasha, Jimmy, Tiffany, Jamie, Casey; many great-grandchildren; and brothers, John (Judy) Chirco and Joseph Chirco. A memorial service for Jennie will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-1 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Pilgrim Manor.
