Jeffrey LaPerna

Jeffrey Scott LaPerna born November 20, 1956, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 26, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. During his journey home his family and closest friends that he loved so deeply surrounded him. In these last months Jeff fought the difficult battle with such grace, determination and faith believing his healing would come. Although his healing did not come in the physical sense, his miracle did come to him in the most beautiful union with Christ. The family wishes all of you to rejoice in his departure from this earth, knowing he is now free of all disease with a healthy body and mind, free from his agonizing pain and discomfort. His wish is for all that Jesus Christ be our focus, and to love one another with compassion. Remember him as you will and be comforted in knowing he is watching over each of us; now free to roam the heavens, sprinkling all of us with his never-ending love and be able to move about with no roadblocks to stop him. His father, Clarence J. LaPerna, precedes Jeffrey in death. In his legacy he leaves behind the following to carry on his earthly mission, mother Barbara LaPerna (Cliff); son Jarob J. LaPerna; grandson Jaden Scott LaPerna; companion of many years Susan LaPerna; sister Dawn Palowski (Dennis); nephews Nathan, Nicholas (Serena); niece Natalie (Kyle); brother Rick LaPerna; sister Rochelle Pearson (Dan); nephew Matthew (Jen), niece Farrah; sister Cheryl LaPerna, nieces Toya (Brian), Candra (Nick); Chaundra (Samuel); Best friend Thomas DeGier. Jeff also leaves many aunts and uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews. We would like to express gratefulness to Sharon Dressler (Lori) for all their loving support providing nutritious meals and loving support and care. A generous thank you to Catherine Curran for opening up her home for Jeffrey's last days, to be filled with love and kindness allowing family and friends to surround him making his journey home a comfortable and peaceful one. Thank you to Joan Gendron for giving her loving care and support, providing personal care and nutritional guidance. Finally, a special thank you to the Faith Hospice family who provided the ultimate care answering our every call with speed and great compassion. The gentleness given from each one will not be forgotten. Thank you to Mel V., Jeff's primary nurse for providing honesty, compassion, laughter and most of all heart in Jeff's plan of care.
