Jeffrey Dean Kolkman

Jeffrey Dean Kolkman, age 38 of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 13, 2017 and is now home with his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Marjorie Kolkman. Jeff proudly served his country in the US Air Force stationed at Charleston Air Force Base. He was a loving husband, dad, and son that treasured his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting, and fishing establishing many memories with his family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lindsey; his children, Hunter, Haley, Madison, and Memphis; his parents, Bruce and Marcia Kolkman; sister, Amanda Tuinstra and Bradley Simcik and their children, Jenna, Lucian, and AJ; parents-in-law, Jeff and Vicki DeKoning; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Josh and Erika DeKoning and their children, Presley, and Weston; several loving uncles, aunts, and cousins, and many dear friends. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress, Jenison with Rev. Matthew Palsrok officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the needs of the family.
