Jeannette Pauline Sperling

Jeannette Pauline Sperling, age 94 of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved family on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born October 30, 1923 in Manhattan, New York. She moved to Michigan when her first grandchild was born in order to be close to both of her daughters. Because she left school to work and help raise her younger siblings during the depression, Jeannette later graduated from East Kentwood High School in 1986. Jeanette was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary Moose Lodge # 1669 and was active with Pinery Park Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert; and two brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Georgy and Dean Truax, DeDe and David Chase; grandchildren, Tina Truax, Ken (Theresa) Truax; great grandson, Braeden; sister, Georgianna Symmonds; sister-in-law, Caroline Sperling; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey Ave. SW, Wyoming with Fr. Don Weber officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Wyoming) 4031 Clyde Park SW with a vigil at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanual Hospice.
