Jeanette Eleanor VanderMeer (Keiser), age 91, of Kentwood, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis VanderMeer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dennis and Karen VanderMeer, Richard and Sue VanderMeer, Steve and Miesheil VanderMeer, Jan and Doug Sinnema; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren with one more on the way and 2 great great grandchildren. Jeanette enjoyed being a foster parent to newborns from Bethany Christian Services while raising her own children. She loved painting pictures, playing the organ and being a mom and grandma. She and Lew spent winters in Ruskin, FL for many years until health issues kept them from traveling. Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, January 5 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood) 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home and on Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.

Thinking of you all, and praying that you feel His presence and spirit as you mourn your dear mother's passing. I will always remember her smile and her kind heart. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out. Her friendship with my mother was very special, and as a family we were blessed to have known her. God bless you all.
