Jean Van Steinvoorn

Jean Louise Van Steinvoorn, age 79, of Hudsonville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2024. Jean and her husband Leo worked together for 30 years in their business, Leo’s Decorating. They enjoyed traveling together in their RV and Jean also liked crafting with her daughter, Linda. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Mark; parents, John and Lorena Bulthuis; sisters-in-law, Helen Van Steinvoorn, Alice Bruggink; and brother-in-law, Klaas and Nancy Van Steinvoorn. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Leo Van Steinvoorn; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Paul Schaner; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Emily and Luke Busscher (Tessa, Amber, Autumn), Katie and David Hoekzema (Elliana Jean), Paul Schaner and fiancée, Erin Hartwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Barb Van Steinvoorn; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, at 11 a.m. at Hanley Christian Reformed Church, 372 Jackson St. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Joseph Vanden Akker officiating. The burial will take place at Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, February 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
