Jean Soest

Jean Soest, age 96, of Wyoming, peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She married Arthur Soest on February 15, 1944, and was a loving mother to two children, Richard and Nancy. Jean has been a faithful member of Eighth Reformed Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed her jigsaw puzzles and her cats. She will be greatly missed by her son, Richard Soest; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Stowe; grandchildren, Debbie Soest, Shirley Soest Jenks, Denise Swieringa, Rick Walker, Brandy (Brandin) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Makayla Thompson, Zackary and Jarrett Jenks, Kylie Swieringa, Ashlynn Swieringa Dykstra, Haley and Skylar Anderson, Clayton and Trenton Walker; and her two loving cats, Coby and Buddy. She has been preceded in death by her parents, Emerance and Alphonse Stevens and her husband, Arthur Soest. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15,2021 at 11 am at Eighth Reformed Church, 841 Burton St. SW, Wyoming with Rev. Harry Koops officiating. Burial Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Eighth Reformed Church or Faith Hospice.
