Jean LaBarge

Jean LaBarge, age 83, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cared deeply for everyone around her and was always there to help. As a devoted wife, she set a strong example of love and loyalty. Most of all, Jean was a pillar of faith, showing strength and guidance to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband of 53 years, John. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her children, John and Marty LaBarge, Scott LaBarge, Kristin and Todd VanSolkema; grandchildren, Leah and Charlie Gies, Abby LaBarge, Erin and Justin Palmer, Taylor LaBarge, Evan and Kylea VanSolkema, Caden VanSolkema, and Addyson VanSolkema; and great-grandchildren, Graham Gies, and Owen Gies. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave., Hudsonville, 49426 with Dr. Rich McCarrell and Pastor Steven Washburn officiating. A private burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
